The Synergy Organization has been retained by an innovative,
profitable and financially strong Southern California Medical Center to recruit
a Critical Care Nursing Director. This facility is located on the Coast, in
lovely Santa Barbara County. The Medical Center was established in the 1940’s
and was California’s first healthcare district. A brand new, state-of-the-art,
66-bed hospital has just been completed.

As a key member of the Nursing Leadership Team, this
position will report directly to the CNO of the Medical Center. With well-honed
team-building, collaboration, communications and clinical skills, the Critical
Care Nursing Director will assist in defining the full set of responsibilities
for this newly created position. This results-oriented leader will demonstrate
excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills combined with a “roll up the
sleeves” work ethic.
The successful candidate will possess: strong management
skills; a minimum of three years clinical critical care experience with
demonstrated leadership abilities; a Bachelor of Nursing Degree (Master’s Degree
preferred); a current California RN License; and the following certifications
are required BLS, ACLS and PALS (CCRN preferred).. This professional will have
the opportunity to manage, direct and coordinate the daily operations of the
Critical Care Department. Responsibilities of this position will include:
ensuring that the Standards of Practice for Critical Care Nursing are followed,
and that the staff is trained in and follow Joint Commission Standards, Title
22, CMS regulations and any other state/federal guidelines that impact patient
care in the Critical Care Department.
