employees to recruit an AVP of Safety Management and Environmental Quality
for their 609-bed flagship hospital. They are one of the most prestigious
medical centers in the Nation and have an affiliation with a well-known
Academic Institution, keeping them at the forefront of medical
advancements, cutting edge research, and some of the most advanced
technology available. The Hospital has been designated with ‘Magnet’
status, routinely is cited for their top rated physicians, and they were
ranked among the "Best in the Nation" by US News & World
Report thirteen years running. The organization has invested significant
capital resources in numerous current and upcoming construction and
renovation projects. They have also been voted as one of the top places to
work in the region and have received the Gold e-healthcare leadership
award. Their Neuroscience department was the first on the East Coast to
offer the CyberKnife technology and they are the only NCI designated
Comprehensive Cancer Care Center in the region.
In this highly visible position, you will lead all activities related
to Security, Safety, Radiation Safety, and Biomedical Engineering
Management. This leader is expected to work with a diverse constituency
assessing potential risk, educating individuals and proactively devising
action plans when necessary to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe
environment. You will be challenged to mentor, develop, and grow a team
focused on a high level of customer service. The organization is looking
for a dynamic professional to develop and implement best practices and
help the department to become a model for Safety Management and
Environmental Quality.
The successful candidate will have a strong sense of values, ethics and
integrity, lead by example, operate autonomously, and demonstrate a
tremendous amount of enthusiasm, energy, and passion. This professional
must have a history building effective relationships, along with proven
leadership and communication skills. The position also requires Acute Care
experience and a thorough understanding of all regulatory guidelines as
they relate to Safety and Environmental Quality.
