Mid-Atlantic Health System with over 23,000 employees to recruit an experienced
and dynamic leader to set the strategic vision for the large and complex Service
Line of one of their hospitals. This financially strong 357-bed medical
center has the busiest ED in the state and has invested significant capital
resources in numerous current and upcoming construction and renovation projects
to help accommodate tremendous growth. The Hospital has been recognized as one
of the top 25 community teaching hospitals in the US, routinely cited for their
top rated physicians, and ranked among the "Best in the Nation" by US
News & World Report.
As the Medicine Service Line Administrative Director you will oversee all the
day-to-day departmental operations ensuring appropriate standards of care are
followed in the IMC, Critical Care Units, Cardio-Pulmonary services, Sleep
Center, Telemetry, multiple Medical Surgical units, and the Emergency
Department. This nurse executive will be a mentor to nursing management, help
the staff to continue to focus on patient satisfaction and contribute towards
the organization’s pursuit of Magnet designation. In the position you will
lead the implementation of technology in a variety of areas designed to increase
the efficiency of nursing and safety of patients. In response to increased
growth, this individual will also have the unique opportunity to help transition
many of the departments to a new patient tower currently under construction.
The successful candidate will be organized, accessible, and have excellent
communication and time management skills. This proven leader must build
relationships, demonstrate initiative, lead by example and have a thorough
understanding of how to implement best practices in nursing. This challenging
position requires a breadth of experience in a variety of acute-care nursing
settings.
