family-oriented, non-unionized community hospital. The organization continues to
grow and expand services throughout their region and is well positioned to
provide excellent care through an academic affiliation and Family Medicine
Residency program. The financially stable hospital has continued to reinvest
capital in technology, renovations and expansion improvements. They seek an
experienced and dynamic nursing leader for their Chief Nursing Officer
opportunity
In this mission-critical position, the Chief Nursing Officer will lead 500
FTE’s, oversee day-to-day departmental operations, and ensure appropriate
standards of care are followed. This leader will have the opportunity to analyze
the current patient care delivery model and departmental structure, and make any
changes deemed necessary for improving the efficiency and quality of the
services provided. This nurse executive needs to be a mentor to nursing
management, an advocate for the nursing staff, and committed to a continued
focus on recruitment and staff retention through collaboration with HR in the
development of creative recruitment strategies. The position will require a
strong focus on patient satisfaction and the ability to instill in others a
sense of accountability for evidence-based critical thinking.
The successful candidate will possess proven leadership skills, have a
passion for nursing and be able to effectively communicate a vision. This
self-starter must be approachable, accessible and demonstrate sound business
skills. This challenging position requires a breadth of experience in a variety
of acute-care nursing settings.
