The Synergy Organization has been retained by a financially strong,
not-for-profit community hospital that is the flagship of a well-respected
faith-based healthcare system. This stable organization has over 2,400 employees
and is located in a highly desirable area with a strong payer mix. They have
continued to invest significant capital into their long-term growth strategy and
have planned numerous construction expansion and renovation projects. They are a
level-1 trauma center with Centers of Excellence in areas such as Orthopedics,
Cardiovascular care and their Regional Cancer Network.
In this newly created position, the Revenue Cycle Administrator will have the
opportunity to lead both the Patient Access and Patient Accounting departments.
This person will mentor the team, develop training for the stable workforce,
and focus their collective efforts on both higher patient satisfaction and
increasing revenue potential. This individual will also work with corporate
resources to implement system wide finance initiatives such as bedside
registration of emergency room patients, improving self-pay collections at point
of service and helping them work towards a central scheduling model. The ideal
leader will bring their knowledge of best practices to drive the advancement of
the department, incorporating automation and technology when possible and
analyze all system processes to develop efficiencies.
The successful candidate will be persistent, possess integrity, maintain
ethics and have strong communication and presentation skills. The individual
must be a team builder and a highly visible leader. The ideal person will also
be deadline oriented, proactively adapt to changing rules and regulations and
demonstrate initiative.
