The Synergy Organization has
been retained to conduct a search for a financially stable, growing, 311-bed
community medical center with one of the busiest Emergency Department's in the
state. They are affiliated with a well-respected 8-hospital health system that
boasts one of the nation's oldest and most distinguished academic medical
centers. They are thought of as one of the best places to work in the region and
have been named Employer of the Year. They have also been recently recognized as
one of Top 100 Hospitals by Solucient and HealthGrades ranked them in the top 5
percent of hospitals nationwide for clinical quality. The organization recently
invested a tremendous amount of resources in building a brand new Patient Tower,
which will include a new area for Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. They seek a
dynamic and experienced leader as their Director of Rehabilitation Services.
The Director of Rehabilitation will set the vision for the department and
oversee all day-to-day operations for both inpatient and outpatient
Rehabilitation Services including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy,
Speech-Language Pathology and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. The Director will
have the opportunity to lead their growth initiative by developing
relationships, building a business plan to address identified areas of need, and
looking for opportunities to partner with physicians to develop additional niche
programs. This leader will focus the clinically strong team on continuing to
provide a high level of customer service, mentor and develop the staff, and
encourage increased certification in specialized areas.
The successful candidate will be a team player, creative, self-directed, and
demonstrate a straightforward approach to dealing with people. The position
requires an individual with excellent communication and leadership skills,
strong business acumen, and superior follow through. A thorough understanding of
all the regulations that affect Rehabilitation Services as well as a clinical
background in PT, OT or SLP is also essential.
