Roles & Responsibilities: Director of Community Relations and Marketing
The Director of Community Relations and Marketing will report to the Chief Executive Officer and enjoy working in a dynamic environment with a visionary and collegial leadership team. This innovative and entrepreneurial new leader will have the opportunity to direct the system’s Strategic Marketing, Advertising and Community Relations to further WMHS’ mission and ensure the System’s presence throughout the community, region and state.
As the primary liaison and spokesperson for the system, the Director of Community Relations and Marketing will coordinate and sustain internal and external communications for the system including news media relations, print/electronic publications, web site and social media initiatives. Additional opportunities for the Director include initiating press releases, media messages, delivering presentations, organizing special events and building relationships to support the health system’s outreach efforts and Foundation initiatives.
The successful candidate will bring exceptional marketing, communication and presentation skills, 5+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience in Marketing and Community Relations, a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Masters preferred), and will be a subject matter expert regarding the latest technology trends in the industry.
