The Senior Director of Talent Acquisition will report directly to the Senior Vice President/ Chief Human Resources Officer of the system and will serve as a key member of the Human Resources leadership team. This new leader will be responsible for four hospitals and the diversified businesses within the northern part of Maryland including MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital, MedStar Harbor Hospital and MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. This new director will promote a positive, collegial, employee and patient-focused culture throughout the system, and will identify and implement cutting-edge approaches, processes and technologies to further MedStar Health’s reputation as an employer of choice . Additional opportunities for this new leader include attracting, recruiting and retaining top talent for the system; selecting and utilizing ATS technology to support optimal workflows and processes for internal and external clients; the application of principles of continuous improvement to ensure that practices are effective and efficient; provide timely and accurate information to end users and key customers; the ongoing professional development of HR staff to ensure their progressive and up-to-date knowledge, competencies, and customer focus; and supporting the System mission. This leader will serve as a mentor and expert resource to internal and external clients of the system, and will bring a deep understanding of regulations, industry trends, Best Practices and applicable laws regarding human resources, along with a record of success with initiating and overseeing proactive programs, procedures and policies to meet departmental and organizational objectives.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated exceptional communication and teambuilding skills, at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience, experience building, and leading a decentralized (multi-location) Talent Acquisition team. A Masters Degree and SHRM-SCP and/or SPHR will be preferred. Candidates with prior healthcare experience in a complex, high-volume recruiting environment are encouraged to apply.
