The Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer will enjoy holding responsibility and accountability for the day-to-day operations of four campuses (UPMC Pinnacle Community General Osteopathic, UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Campus, UPMC Pinnacle Polyclinic and UPMC Pinnacle West Shore) with three Magnet® designated, acute care hospitals and a combined total of 640 licensed beds. In addition, the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer will be given corporate-wide responsibility at UPMC Pinnacle for clinical service line development, implementation, and expansion, as well as responsibility for managing the integration of UPMC Pinnacle’s newly acquired institutions into the organization.
This new leader will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs, Senior Executives, the Board of Directors and will provide leadership and direction to department Vice Presidents to accomplish goals and objectives for the system consistent with the UPMC Pinnacle strategic plan, mission, vision and values.
The successful candidate will bring 10+ years of demonstrated, progressive and successful leadership experience in a large, complex healthcare environment; exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as a Masters Degree in a related field.
